ABOUT

Angie In Process

My background in graphic design, web design, and front-end development shapes how I approach it. I pay close attention to how people move through a site or interface and whether things make sense before worrying about visual polish. Having worked as a developer, I’m used to thinking about structure, constraints, and how designs translate into real builds.

Right now, I’m focusing on design work and building out projects rather than launching anything new. Novel Cove is one of those projects, but at the moment it’s mainly a design exercise. I use it to explore layout, navigation, content structure, and accessibility decisions without the pressure of turning it into a full platform.

Writing impacts my UX system designs. It has led me to pay attention to wording, clarity, and how information is presented. Whether I’m designing a page or shaping content, I’m usually thinking about how to reduce friction and help users understand what to do next.

Design is how I communicate ideas. Through color, typography, and layout, I turn thoughts into visuals that make sense at first glance. My process combines creativity and logic to create designs that feel effortless and whole.

I am a designer, author, and developer who enjoys creating meaningful work that connects with people. My graphic and web design background and front-end development allow me to bring creativity and structure to every project. Writing is another part of who I am. I explore imaginative worlds through fiction and share guidance for writers through non-fiction.

I’m in the process of building projects that bring together creativity and community. With Novel Cove, I focus on helping authors through design and publishing support. I offer book cover design, copywriting, and author websites. I’m working toward building a publishing company where authors feel valued and supported, not taken advantage of. Novel Cove allows me to explore new ways of connecting people through design and words.

Outside of projects, I read and brainstorm new book ideas. I love watching K-dramas and C-dramas, which often spark new storylines I want to explore. I also consider ways to better support authors in launching their books because helping others share their stories is just as meaningful to me as creating my own.
